Zortia

FAQ

Zortia FAQ

Everything founders ask before trusting Zortia with their numbers. No bank login, ever. We never sell data.

Getting started

The basics of what Zortia is and how to get your first Wealth Score.

What is Zortia?

Zortia is a wealth operating system for founders. It blends your business metrics (from a read-only Stripe connection) with what you personally own to give you one honest number, your Founder Wealth Score, that answers the question MRR never can: are you actually getting richer?

Is Zortia free?

Yes. The Wealth Audit and your live Stripe metrics are free forever. Paid plans (Operator $29/mo and Allocator $59/mo) unlock the living wealth layer, your score trajectory over time, the spend analyzer, valuation, and the AI CFO.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. The homepage demo and the Wealth Audit work with no signup. You only sign in when you want to save your numbers, track them month over month, or connect Stripe to your account.

How do I get my Wealth Score?

Open the free Audit. Either type your numbers in (a few minutes) or connect a read-only Stripe key to auto-fill your revenue and churn, then add what you own. Your Score appears instantly, with a full breakdown.

What do I need to get started?

Just an email or a Google account. Optionally, a read-only Stripe key if you want your exact live numbers instead of typing them.

How long does it take?

Under five minutes for your first Score.

Privacy and security

What we can and cannot see, and how your data is protected.

Do you ever see my bank login?

Never. Zortia has no bank connection at all. That is the core promise: no bank login, ever. Business numbers come from a read-only Stripe key, and everything personal is typed in by you.

Is the Stripe connection really read-only?

Yes. You paste a restricted key scoped to Read. Zortia can compute your metrics, but it can never move money, charge a customer, or issue a refund.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not run ads and we do not sell or broker data. Your numbers are yours. You can export everything or permanently delete your account at any time.

What data do you actually store?

Your email, your plan, your encrypted Stripe key (only if you connect one), the personal figures you enter, and monthly snapshots of your Score. We only ever read aggregate revenue metrics from Stripe. We never store your customers' personal data.

How is my Stripe key stored?

It is encrypted with AES-256, kept in an httpOnly cookie that JavaScript cannot read, and encrypted again in the database. Only the server can decrypt it, and only to fetch your metrics.

If someone gets my link, can they see my data?

No. Every user's data is isolated by row-level security in the database, so even with the public key a person can only ever read their own rows. All secret keys live server-side and are never exposed to the browser.

Can I delete my data?

Yes, anytime and permanently. You can also disconnect your Stripe key in one click, which removes it immediately.

Is Zortia financial advice?

No. Zortia is informational tooling. The numbers are yours, computed transparently. Decisions are yours.

The Founder Wealth Score

What the number means and exactly how it is computed.

What is the Founder Wealth Score?

One transparent number from 0 to 100 that fuses your business and personal finances into a single answer: are you getting richer? Every component and weight is shown, so it is never a black box.

How is it calculated?

Deterministically, in code, never by AI. It is a weighted blend: wealth retention rate 25%, net-worth trajectory 25%, profit margin 15%, real runway 15%, equity-to-debt 10%, and draw consistency 10%. You can see every sub-score and its weight.

Why not just track my MRR?

MRR is vanity. It can climb while your bank balance flatlines, because costs, churn, your draw, and personal spending quietly eat it. The Wealth Score shows the wealth you actually keep, not just the revenue you bill.

What is the bridge?

The bridge is how much your business adds to your net worth each month after costs. It is the link between revenue and real wealth, and it is the heart of the Operator view.

What counts as a good score?

Roughly: 80 and above is compounding, 65 to 79 is building, 50 to 64 is stabilizing, and below 50 is at risk. The breakdown always shows your single biggest lever to move it.

Does the AI calculate my score?

No. All the math is deterministic and lives in code. The AI only appears in the AI CFO, where it explains your numbers in plain English. It never invents figures.

Connecting Stripe (read-only)

The key, how to make it, and what we read.

What key do I paste?

A Stripe Restricted API key set to read-only. It starts with rk_ (for example rk_live_...). A full secret key (sk_) also works, but the restricted read-only key is the safe, recommended choice.

How do I create a read-only key?

In Stripe, go to Developers, then API keys, then Create restricted key. Set Subscriptions, Customers, Charges, and Invoices to Read, leave the rest as None, create it, and copy the rk_ key.

Is it safe to connect?

Yes. Read-only means the key can only view data, never charge or refund. Zortia stores it encrypted, and you can revoke or disconnect it at any time.

What metrics does Zortia read from Stripe?

Aggregate revenue metrics only: MRR, ARR, ARPU, active customers, new and churned MRR, churn rate, failed or delinquent payments, and refunds. It never reads your customers' personal information.

Why don't my numbers exactly match Stripe's dashboard?

Every provider uses its own private formulas for things like MRR and churn. Zortia recomputes from your raw subscription data as accurately as possible, but small differences can occur depending on how refunds, trials, prorations, and currency conversions are handled. It is a reliable, independent signal rather than a one-to-one copy.

Can I use Zortia without Stripe?

Yes, completely. You can type your numbers into the Audit by hand and the Score works exactly the same. Connect Stripe later whenever you want exact live numbers.

Which payment providers are supported?

Stripe today. More providers, such as Razorpay, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, and Polar, are on the roadmap.

Plans and billing

What is free, what is paid, and how payment works.

What is free versus paid?

Free: the Wealth Audit, your live Stripe metrics, and a Score snapshot. Operator ($29/mo): the living wealth layer (the net-worth bridge), your Score trajectory over time, the spend analyzer, and monthly tracking. Allocator ($59/mo): valuation, exit-readiness, and the AI CFO.

How am I billed?

Through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Plans are month to month, and yearly options are available (Operator $290/yr, Allocator $590/yr).

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, with no lock-in. If you cancel or downgrade, you keep access until the end of the current period.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes. If your first Wealth Audit does not surface a specific move to grow your net worth, it is free.

Do I need a card to try Zortia?

No. The free tier works with no credit card.

The dashboard and tools

What lives inside the living view.

What is in the dashboard?

Your Wealth Score and breakdown, your business metrics, the net-worth wealth layer, a monthly spend analyzer, your Score trajectory, valuation and exit-readiness, and an AI CFO. Free users see the Score and business metrics; paid tiers unlock the rest.

What is the Spend Analyzer?

A monthly tool to break your spending into categories (paid ads, influencer marketing, salaries, servers, inventory, or your own custom categories), then Analyze it into a pie breakdown, a by-function view, and your customer acquisition cost (CAC). It is an Operator feature.

What is the AI CFO?

Ask plain-English questions about your own numbers and get a grounded answer, like whether you can afford to pay yourself more. The math stays deterministic; the AI only explains it. It is an Allocator feature.

What is valuation and exit-readiness?

An estimated sale range for your business based on your revenue and margins, plus a checklist of how ready you are to sell. It is an Allocator feature.

Account and login

Signing in, signing out, and keeping it secure.

How do I sign in?

With Google, or with a secure sign-in link sent to your email. There are no passwords to remember or leak.

I didn't get my sign-in email.

Check your spam folder, and give it a minute. If it still has not arrived, request a new link. At higher volume we send through a dedicated email provider for fast delivery.

How do I sign out?

Use Sign out in the dashboard sidebar.

Is my login secure?

Yes. Sign-in is passwordless and handled by Supabase Auth, so there is no password for anyone to steal.
